Later this month, you’ll be able to listen to Carpe Diem, Illinois!
American Players Theatre Actor Rob Doyle has been recording Carpe Diem, Illinois this past week at Paradyme Productions. It’s been incredible listening to him perform so many different characters such as crusty John Holden, naive Tali Shaw, and Italian restauranteur Francesca Scallini — he even speaks Italian!
Rob will finish recording on Monday, September 10th and then Paradyme Productions Engineer Justin Hind will wield his editing magic. The audio version of Carpe Diem, Illinois will be available for purchase soon after that. I’ll keep you posted!
And be sure to read next week’s newsletter — The Making of an Audio Book!
This is so exciting to have an audio book. It will be available for my Kindle, right? How did you manage to accomplish this task? In my mind, this was a complex endeavor. Not capitalized so no reference to God On Mayhem Street…😂 You are full of surprises. Keep on writing.
Hi Carol:
I know — I’m so thrilled! We finished recording today. Next they’ll edit it, send me a proof, and then we’ll publish it. Yes, you can play it on a Kindle if you have the Kindle Fire, Kindle Oasis (9th Gen), Kindle Oasis (8th Gen), Kindle 8th Gen, Kindle Keyboard, Kindle Touch. I’ll also have CDs available for purchase which you can play in your car.
I’ll write about the whole process in my next newsletter this Friday.
Hugs, Kristin
Congratulations Kristin! Awesome and way to go!
Thank you, Charlene! See you in a couple of weeks. Kristin
